Join us in Lisbon for the aftermatch: Case studies of energy transition with EDP

Mingle with corporates and startups, and intermediaries to understand how innovation answers energy transition

September the 17th from 8:30am at the Portuguese architect Aires Mateus' EDP headquarters, siting at the intersection between Lisbon's hills and the river.

From a debrief to Impact Europe's Business of Impact from the previous 2 days, we will dive into corporate innovation in the form of corporate venturing and hearing from social entrepreneurs and startups, how they bring innovation to market, how impact is embedded on the business model and the hurdles of gathering corporate investor interest.

What's next, after Impact Europe's Just Energy Transition Impact Days

If you are joining Impact Europe event on the 15th and 16th, this will be an opportunity to share takeaways and identify new opportunities for talent, partnership and investment. We will have corporates, investors and startups and scaleups, not in the usual pitch scenario, but an informal and candid conversation.

Join us for a breakfast and a chat with likeminded people touching innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable finance.

Schedule:
8:30 arrival and networking reception
8:45 beginning of 1st panel
9:45 beginning of 2nd panel

Guiding questions:

  • How can cities and corporates partner with startups and create value and invest, build or partner differently in a true multi-stakeholder partnership, when at the same time startups and cities solving complex multidimensional problems like energy transition and net zero struggle to find private impact driven capital?
  • From theories of change to the reality of change management, innovation, risk management, efficiencies and sustainability and impact, assuming you have the capital stack with the trifecta risk return impact, are startups the best model to meet today’s challenges? And how can we solve problems at scale?

Who is it for:

  • Corporate innovation leaders and investors in the energy transition and sustainable finance space looking to understand how innovation and collaboration between startups, corporates and governments can contribute to solutions
  • Practitioners and capacity builders supporting organisations on their impact and sustainability journey, particularly within the build world and mobility space
